Patrick Kenny

Patrick has recently completed an MSc in Physiotherapy at Brighton University adding another string to his bow. Patrick strongly believes in manual therapy techniques integrated with functional kinetic chain rehabilitation. This enables patients to fully recover from their dysfunction and return to their activities stronger than before their injury. Further to this, Patrick feels patient education is paramount to ensure a quick return to full fitness as the patient will then be able to identify bad habits and correct them by themselves.

Patrick previously qualified as a Sports Rehabilitator and Trainer from St. Mary’s University College, Twickenham in 2008. In 2009 Patrick joined up with the Indian Athletics Medical Team and was placed in charge of assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries. Patrick attended the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi where the Indian Athletics Team surpassed their medals target by 300%, collecting a total of 12 Medals.

Subsequently, Patrick undertook consultancy work for Mittal Champions Trust who sponsors elite athletes in India. He looked after individual wrestlers and shotgun shooters in the build up to and during the 2012 London Olympics where his athletes collected a silver and bronze medal.

Keira Thorley

Keira has a background in yoga, gymnastics and Callanetics along with design, holding a Degree and Masters from Edinburgh College of Art in Design & Applied Arts. Keira started practicing Ashtanga yoga 8 years ago to combat the stress of running a design business. Later she introduced callanetics into her fitness routine and found that it complimented the yoga and the combination brought out her initial sports grounding in gymnastics.

Keira was inspired by the experience of the specialised teaching and style of exercise so much so, she decided to change career. In 2011 Keira trained and qualified to teach Callanetics in 2011 and in 2012 qualified as a 200 hour Ashtanga yoga teacher.

Since then Keira has been developing a unique teaching style, working with a range of people from cancer recovery paitents, students at Manav Rachna International school in Delhi India, primary 1 & 2 children, along with delivering classes and private sessions across Edinburgh. All offering a luxurious experience combining fitness, health and relaxation with artistic flair.

The result has been the development of a new movement system called "YoCa Move Empower Relax™ which powerfully re-shape's your body, allow's you to achieve strong yoga poses using the technique of targeting the necessary muscle groups needed for the pose, using small precise movements. YoCa also explores the power of relaxation.

Keira has now co-founded the company "Walk the Talk Studios ltd" Jonathan Marc Gillam and they are developing new and innovative ways to deliver health and fitness to you. Keira has designed a range of products for Walk the talk Studios that enhance the relaxation part of the sessions. These will be available to buy at our on-line shop coming in 2017."
